Why EduTherapy?
Our EduTherapy service evolved from our extensive experience working with children and young people who, for various reasons, are not attending education. Many of these individuals have unique needs that present challenges when engaging with traditional learning or therapeutic methods. Through our collaborative efforts with these young people and their families, we recognised the necessity for an alternative approach tailored to their specific requirements.
Our Philosophy
We prioritise placing the family at the heart of our work and strive to foster effective communication between our professionals and the parents/carers of the young individuals we support. This commitment serves as the foundation for building connections - whether to other schools, colleges, or alternative providers. We recognise that the relationships we cultivate with parents and carers enhance their confidence and trust in others who play a vital role in their children's lives.
Ways to access our support
In 2021, Midlands Psychology became an approved provider of Alternative and Complementary Education.
Our EduTherapy programme began accepting referrals in the summer of 2022, offering a vital complementary provision for children and young people in need. In addition to our alternative provision, we also offer service level agreements to ensure tailored support and collaboration with local authorities and educational institutions.
